Safety Camera Partnership backs Drive 4 Safety
Drive 4 Safety, a new initiative to tackle the number of young drivers involved in serious crashes has just been launched by Strathclyde Police with the support of the Arnold Clark Organisation and the Safety Camera Partnership.
In the last five years, 89 young people, aged between 17 and 25, have been killed in road crashes on Strathclyde’s roads. 820 have been seriously injured and more than 6,000 (6,077) have suffered slight injuries.
As a result Strathclyde’s Road Policing Unit has launched a year-long safety campaign aimed not just at young drivers but at parents too in a bid to reduce the number of young people killed or maimed on our roads.
