December 2011 - average speed camera system on M8 White Cart Viaduct near Glasgow Airport
Work on the third phase of essential strengthening works on the M8 motorway White Cart Viaduct near Glasgow Airport has now moved on to the carriageway itself. Drivers are required to take extra care during the period of these works (which will run from December 2011 until Spring 2012) The existing reduced speed limit of 40 mph will be enforced by an average speed safety camera system.
The camera system, which will be live from 9 December, will be highly visible with clear average speed cameras signage in place, along with repeater speed limit signs and vehicle activated signs.
