Take it easy in winter weather

general

Drivers are reminded that it is crucially important to watch your speed on snowy and icy roads. Stopping distances can be up to 10 times longer than normal and care is needed to ensure that you can stop safely for traffic signals, roundabouts or any hazard that may appear on the road.

For advice on being prepared for driving in winter, see pdf file link on right-hand side of the page.
