Everyone’s Responsibilty

Safety on the road is every road user’s responsibilty. In recent years there has been a significant reduction in the number of people killed or injured on Scotland's roads. However, there is no room for complacency when each crash that happens involves pain, family disruption and possible tragedy.

Safety cameras, speed and red light, are important tools in helping to achieve casualty reduction through deterring speeding or red light running at locations with a history of personal injury crashes involving these driver behaviours .

Every driver knows that speeding and red light running are both dangerous, anti-social and illegal actions. It is not acceptable for drivers to endanger other road users by inconsiderately driving too fast or going through traffic signals.
