I live outwith the court area. Can I arrange to pay at my local court office?

Currently, most Fixed Penalty fines can only be paid at the Court address given on your Conditional Offer. However, between 2008 and 2010, all District Courts in Scotland will be unifying in a rolling programme under the auspices of the Scottish Court Service. What happens if my 28 day payment period has expired?

Once the 28 day payment period has expired no payment can be accepted for a Conditional Offer of Fixed Penalty. The matter will then be reported to the relevant Procurator Fiscal who will deal with it accordingly. Please note that weekends and public holidays are counted within this time even though Courts may be closed for receiving payments. Contact relevant Court for details.
